Tick. (“we”, “us”, “the app”) helps you create and share countdowns. We’ve built it to collect as little personal information as possible. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Account data. A randomly generated anonymous user ID (created automatically by Supabase when you first open the app) and a display name you enter during onboarding. We do not collect your phone number, email address, real name, contacts, precise location, or any government identifier.
Countdown content. Titles, dates, cover styles, and the names of countdowns you create or join, plus messages you post to a countdown thread (visible to the creator and other joiners).
Device & diagnostic data. Anonymous crash logs and performance metrics provided by Apple (disable in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics). A device push token, only if you grant notification permission, so we can deliver milestone reminders (30 days, 7 days, 24 hours, and 1 hour before your event).
Live Activity & Widget data. A local snapshot of your active countdown is shared between the app, widget, and Live Activity using a private App Group. This data stays on your device.
We use the data above only to create and sync your countdowns, deliver milestone notifications you’ve opted into, generate the “Pulse” (short atmospheric copy generated by Anthropic Claude via the Rork toolkit proxy — only countdown title, owner name, and time remaining are sent; messages are not transmitted), and diagnose crashes.
We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising. We do not build advertising or behavioral profiles.
Your data is stored on Supabase (our backend host) and accessed only by our app. Countdown content is visible to people you share a countdown link with — that’s the entire purpose of the share feature. AI-generated “Pulse” copy is produced via the Rork AI toolkit, which proxies requests to Anthropic. We do not share data with any other third party.
Countdowns you create remain in your account until you delete them. Because Tick. uses anonymous sign-in, deleting the app from your device permanently removes your account and all countdowns you own. There is no recovery. You can also delete an individual countdown at any time from inside the app, which removes it for everyone who joined. To request manual deletion, email privacy@gettick.app and we’ll process the request within 30 days.
Tick. is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided data to us, contact privacy@gettick.app and we will delete it.
Data is transmitted over HTTPS. Supabase stores data encrypted at rest. Because we use anonymous accounts, even we cannot link your countdowns to your real-world identity.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the data we hold about you, and to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. To exercise these rights, email privacy@gettick.app.
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date above and post the new version at the same URL.
